How to Spec Custom Metal Trim & Flashing

Send the right details and your quote comes back fast and accurate. Here’s exactly what your fabricator needs.

Custom trim and flashing is quote-based for a reason — every order varies. The more precise your details, the faster and more accurate your quote. Here’s the short list of what we need.

1. The profile

A drawing, a photo, or a physical sample of the detail. A quick sketch with dimensions is often enough. For masonry, stucco, or wall-panel flashings, a photo of the transition helps us get the legs and hems right.

2. Dimensions & bends

Overall girth, each leg length, and the bend angles. If you’re matching existing trim, send a sample or a cross-section.

3. Material, gauge & color

Aluminum or steel, the gauge, and the finish/color. See our Color Options page or ask for our color chart.

4. Lengths & quantity

Piece lengths (remember we run custom lengths up to ~20 ft) and how many. Volume affects pricing.

5. Timeline

When you need it and any install constraints. We fabricate to order and will confirm a lead time with your quote.

Send those five things and we’ll turn around a live, current-priced quote quickly.
